Burlington, Vermont – Community Sailing Center employees attended US SAILING National Sailing Programs Symposium (NSPS) this past week. Kate Neubauer, Executive Director and Colin Davis, Program Director traveled to Florida for the 25th anniversary of NSPS.

From January 9 to 13, 2008, sailing program organizers from across the country took the opportunity to network with their counterparts and hear directly from such sailing experts as renowned sailing commentator and author Gary Jobson, America's Cup helmsman for winning team Alinghi Ed Baird, one of the country's top female offshore sailors Dawn Riley, and many more. The purpose of this annual Symposium is for participants to network with other organizers and to share ideas on what it takes to run a successful sailing program.

The Community Sailing Center is a community based non-profit organization that operates on Burlington’s waterfront offering educational and recreational programming for all people. Our mission is to encourage and celebrate the responsible use and long-term stewardship of Lake Champlain by fostering education, recreation and growth in the community around us.
