Sailing is truly a unique and memorable team-building exercise for a group of any size. The Community Sailing Center offers a wide array of customized group outings that are getting rave reviews. Designed to meet your specific needs, events at the Community Sailing Center can include relays, regattas, or cruising/racing around Lake Champlain.

Common event types include:

A Fun Regatta

We start with a two-hour lesson so everyone can learn to sail and work together. The lesson is followed by a light refreshments and soda. After the break, go back out on the water for racing, and cap off the day with an awards presentation.

 

A "College-style" Team Racing Event

This event is great for larger groups, as it allows several divisions to compete at alternating times. This format encourages camaraderie and team spirit. Each team has teammates on the water throughout the day, giving everyone a chance to win. Those on shore can cheer on the racers from the pier, play a game of croquet, or just relax and enjoy refreshments dockside.

 

A Leisurely Sail

This is the most casual type of outing. Participants can spend the day learning to sail, or touring Lake Champlain. On shore events can include a game of croquet, volleyball or Frisbee.

Employees or customers will soon forget the stress of work and focus on the teamwork and cooperation required to compete against thier coworkers. Combine sailing with a catered meal and drinks on our pier, and you'll have an event your employees or customers will remember.
