Encourage Workplace Giving

Keeping your staff aware of the company's charitable endeavors is a great way to boost morale and set a positive example. Donate Stock

Supporters may choose to make gifts of appreciated stocks or mutual funds because of the associated tax advantages. When giving securities that have increased in value and have been owned long enough to qualify as long-term property, you are generally entitled to a federal income tax deduction based on the current fair market value of the security. In addition, when donating securities that have increased in value, you do not have to pay capital gains tax.
